Hello!
I'm Jessica Lynn, I'm 26 years old, and I am an aspiring author.
My passion for writing began with my love of reading. Classics ranging from Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Jules Verne, JRR Tolkien, and C.S. Lewis line my bookshelves among with many others. The art of storytelling has always captivated me.
When my own creative ideas began to take over my daydreams, I knew it was time to start writing them down. I am self taught, having learned from trial and error, lots of reading and getting feedback from my friends, family, and readers from the online communities of Twitter and other published authors.
I am currently aiming to publish my very first fantasy novel at the beginning of next year, 2020. It has been a long writing journey for me (5 years actually) Losing my dad in 2015, followed by my grandma later that year, moving to a new city, and starting a new job were all major changes for me that took time away from my writing. However, I'm proud to say, God has been faithful to me and my family, and my love for writing has never diminished. I look forward to publishing!
My purpose for this blog is to inspire other story lovers to start writing, and give them the necessary tools to develop their own skills by sharing my personal experiences and tips.
